Pekeywaytahihnan Nutr Zanfaan leur zisprii / Bringing Our Children's Spirit Home is a Red River Métis-led project focused on identifying, documenting, and honouring children who attended Residential Schools and did not return home.
Guided by Survivors, families, Knowledge Keepers, communities, and the Red River Métis Residential and Day School Survivor Advisory Committee, the project supports archival research, community engagement, and the preservation of historical records.
The MMF has also developed a five-year research plan to strengthen research capacity, expand community participation, and guide future archival and community-based work.
The project seeks to determine what happened to our missing children, honour them and their families, and help bring our children's spirits home.
