Manitoba Métis Federation Sixties Scoop Wellness Centre

We are grateful you found your way to the Manitoba Métis Federation Sixties Scoop Wellness Centre. A place to call your own, to be with family, and to re-integrate yourself into the Manitoba Red River Métis community.

Here at the Wellness Centre, we are guided by the Five Pillars of Reconciliation identified through the Sixties Scoop Engagement Process: Reparations, Apologies, Commemorations, Accountability, and Healing.

Our programs and services focus on repatriation, mental/emotional support, and cultural programming. The Wellness Centre is there to help you and your families by providing access to support, information and resources. You are not alone!

Mission

Building on the work of the Manitoba Métis Federation, the mission for the Centre is derived from the inherent right of the MMF to provide programs and services to its citizens. The Centre's Mission is to:

Support Métis Sixties Scoop Survivor's re-integration into the Manitoba Métis community.

Vision

Building on the reconciliation aspiration of Sixties Scoop Survivors and the goal of the MMF to support survivor's wellness needs, the vision for the Centre is to:

Improve the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual wellbeing of Sixties Scoop Survivors while strengthening their connection to the Métis community through Métis-driven programs and services.

Core Values

The following eleven (11) core values are the fundamental beliefs, ideas, and practices of the Centre. The core values dictate the Centre's behavior to fulfill its mission, vision, and commitments to Sixties Scoop Survivors.
